So, just who and what is KEPRI?
Our Mission Statement:
KEPRI's intention is to develop an empirical approach to paranormal research and investigation, broadening the global perspective. In so doing we aim to create an appreciation of the paranormal, which pairs suspension of disbelief with critical reasoning.
We are a small team of dedicated historians and paranormal investigators. Our origins lie in the research and investigation of New York's haunted Husdon Valley. KEPRI began in 2009 as a group specializing in the preservation of the stone chambers of Putnam County. While the chambers will always be at our core, we have since branched out and encompass much more than local megaliths.
As an historical organization we investigate the unexplained at historic locations with a paranormal history, within the trisate area. We do not investigate personal homes. Please do not ask. KEPRI seeks to pair historical preservation with our love for the unexplained. We are not out to prove or disprove anything and we are not looking for a good scare. We are sound minded, history based investigators looking for scientific answers in a pseuso-scientific field.
We aim to promote nothing but respect toward each other, fellow investigators, and the metaphysical. All investigations are conducted in a professional manner, with explicit permission from the property managers and any local authorities.
If you are interested in joining our team, please have a look at this overview and questionnaire to determine if paranormal investigation is right for you. If you are interested in observing from afar, feel free to attend a presentation or listen to one previously recorded, check out our EVP section, or come along on a hike.
